Are you scatterbrained?
Come on, admit it; most of us have our “Senior Moments” or our personal fogs.
Life is harried, and with the insane schedules we all keep, it’s no wonder we
forget things – sometimes important things – and make mistakes. How does a
scatterbrain keep track of all that’s going on in their life? He or she uses a
list.
To-Do Lists
Everybody has a to-do
list; whether or not it’s written down is another story. In today’s hurly-burly
world, a to-do list is paramount. Make a list, every night, before you go to
bed of the upcoming day’s activities, meetings, school functions, and chores.
Put the list in your purse, briefcase, notebook, or computer bag, and use it
the next day. You may not get everything on the list done, but you will
accomplish more this way, and the important things won’t be forgotten. Use to-do list template to make one for your own.
Grocery Lists
Not only has the world
gone mad in terms of schedules, the cost of living is rising out of sight.
Trips to the grocery store get very expensive, very fast. We all have to eat,
so going to the grocery store is inevitable. However, we can do far less
impulse shopping if we make out a list of the needed items before we leave home.
We may still do some impulse buys (chocolate, anyone?) but the number will be
fewer, and more importantly, the things we really need will be taken care of.
Packing Lists
Anyone moving in your
family these days? A son or daughter going off to college? Parents moving into
smaller homes or assisted living? Upsizing to a bigger home before the next
baby makes its appearance? Moving offices, maybe? Whatever your situation,
you’ll be packing things to go from point A to point B, and you’ll need to know
what went into which box, and where the box will wind up. A packing list template is a
necessity for a smooth moving experience, as well as unpacking on the receiving
end. If you run a business, you know a packing list is essential in every
package you ship.
Guest Lists
Planning a party anytime
soon? If so, you’ll need to start a guest list, if the attendees are more than
two or four people. If you’re planning a big social event, such as a daughter’s
wedding, a guest list is a must-have in your planning. You’ll need to note whom
you sent invitations to, who has responded, if they will require lodging, and
if they require special seating. It’s also not a bad idea to note on your guest
list if anyone has special needs. A guest list is your basic blueprint for
planning a successful event.
Templates
All of these lists can
be kept on the computer, and if you do more with the data than just make a
list, this is a good thing. However, it’s a real pain to design a list for
every need. It’s much simpler if you download the appropriate list template
from the Internet. List templates are available for Microsoft Word and
Microsoft Excel, both from Microsoft itself and other vendors. You can find
list templates for every need at (Dotxes) and download the list of your choice.
List templates are a real time-saver, and Dotxes makes it easy to get
